Our new Computer Bulb Out Warning Harness combines the function of the capacitor harness plus some other features designed to further correct issues that we run into with newer cars. On new cars the computer tends to interfere with the addition of HIDs to its system. The new harness should solve all of these issues. The battery harness is still required with some cars in addition to the bulb out warning harness or if your car or truck has wiring of insufficient size (typically in Hondas and Mazdas and older American cars) to power the HID kit.

For our Volvo customers we have received a great deal of feedback on the issues that the S40/60 and the V50/70 suffer. You can get more information on our blog.

Use these harnesses if your car has Daytime Running Lights (DRL) and you are looking to bypass them without having them shut off at the dealer. You can also use these harnesses to potentially solve flickering, bulb out messages, or HID set ups where you know the kit works but still does not light up or lights up and then shuts off immediately. Most newer cars require this as installing HIDs without may be unsuccessful. Please note you may also need to buy our computer bulb out warning harness in conjunction with the battery harness to prevent problems such as bulb out warnings and flickering. Please note that high/low kits such as the H4, 9003, 9004, 9007, and H13 kits come with a battery harness included.

If you have a modern Volvo, Mercedes, BMW, or other car with daytime running lights that you can not turn off please email us first before ordering. This only applies to installations into low beams. Fog lights and high beams should not have any issues except on possibly 2008+ BMWs.
