The new Bulb Out Warning Cancelers and testing

Published by SharpHID at 11:28 pm under Volvo

We have been testing the Bulb Out Warning Cancelers in two S40s and we are waiting on feedback from some others.  So far the new harness has worked at solving an issue with one car but has not solved it with another.  We are hopeful the the results from the other S40s are more what we are looking for.  This may be a fix to solve more than the majority of S40s/V50s/S60s/V70s but I will continue to keep you all posted here on the blog!

Thanks,

John

Found on Volvo S40’s HID blew out my wiper motor. But for the Bulb out light, if you put your lights on the number 2 position, your HID’s will light as normal with no lights indicating that there is any issue. I have just starting trying this and will post any changes if this does not continue to work.

I should add that I have never seen an S40 blow the wiper motor when using our harness. It is not advised to install the HIDs without any harness at all.

Now I know that. I have ordered the relay harness to prevent future blow outs. I should have this today. But so far, just leaving the lights to the 2nd position has worked to prevent “bulb out” and flickering in the s40. So I hope that can help anyone in the future.
